Matariki today: In the 21st century people were looking at how Matarikis cluster has grown. They celebrated it every year, but then stopped to think more about how to make it more special. Soon after they kept celebrating it with so much joy. It is know marked each year as a Maori celebration. Te Rangi Huata had just organized his first very own celebration. Over 15,00 different people came to his celebration, He believed that it was way more popular as we come together.

Maori kites:  The revial of Maori kites played a little part in Matarikis popular side. An expert looked at the Matariki kite and thought of the ancestors and all the Polynesions were the history. He said that The kites could be the history if we used them more.

Kai-Food:   It is food that we have at a gathering with friends and family, or you can just have it in general. It is a time to eat and talk with others about Matariki. People do this to acknowledge the fish, veggies, and crops people have founded. People are happy when they get celebrated because they feel as if they have done something amazing.

A wrinkle in time

A wrinkle in time
In chapter 1 of a wrinkle in time Mrs Whatsit was a stealer who stole sheets from Mrs Buncombe. Meg didn't at all trust Mrs Whatsit because she could have stolen something from Meg and her family. All of the characters in chapter 1 have all different personalities, thoughts and all different perspectives. Something in chapter 1 that stood out is that Meg’s personality was the strongest and most bravest. Chapter 1 was mostly about Mrs Whatsit and her naughty ways(she acted nice)
Mrs Whatsit got a nice yummy tomato and lettuce salad made by the one and only Charles Wallace.

it was quiet easy just use the curve bar and click every time you want to turn or go up and down your photo of you.

Cyber smart smartys

 Cyber smart smarty's

here is
one way of keeping your chrome book safe it is to put it in the middle of the table not on the edge because you could bump it or if you pull the table.

With Whauau Donna we learnt how to take care of your chrome book and to be cyber smart.
this is how i listed them from most important to least.
  • bear hugging when walking
  • keep food and drinks away
  • keep Chromebook away from edge of tables.
  • tap keyboard gently
  • not on the floor
  • close screen gently
i think that its important to do those things because it could break and no more Chromebook for you.
kawa of care/cyber smart  is one of the most important things because its how to take care of your Chromebook and yourself. If we didn't know the kawa of care we would not know how to take care of our Chromebook and it could break or fall and we would not know how to stop It from falling and causing a explosive mess.

Bridge to terbithia

 Bridge to terabithia chapter 2

In kakapo we listened to bridge to terabithia chapter 2 and had t find out what was jesses first impression on lesley and does it change.

he was really sad when they said that leslie was a girl because he wanted a friend that was not a girl but a boy. When they said she was a girl he acted like he didn't care and pretend he had work to do,but jesse still thought she was good at music. He never wanted to see her face again but then on race day he saw her (jesse was a little embarrassed because she was so fast and he always thought he was the fastest)

I do think that his opinion will change because he estimated her.

Catherine McAuley 9th february

Catherine McAuley

Catherine McAuley was born in Ireland in 1778 September 29th. She was very young when her dad died, she was only 5 years old and then a couple years later when she was a teen, her mother died from a critical illness. Later on her sister passed away in her deathbed
When her mother and father died she was sent to live with her friends and family, her sister and brother lived with a very wealthy and kind family and Catherine lived with a family although her bed was on the floor, so she moved in with her brother and sister. Catherine's dad was a Christian and her mum was a Protestant. She wanted to be a christian to look after all, so she decided to use the money she was left from Mr Callaghan when he died, to build a Mercy House. Mr Callahan gave Catherine the money because he over heard his daughter talking badly about Catherine and that she didn't deserve that disrespect.

Catherine decided to build the Mercy House in Bogget Street because that was where all the rich people lived. She hoped they would notice her helping and teaching others and then they could donate or join to help out with the less fortune people . She was going to provide clothes, food, a warm bed and much more that they need. Catherine McAuley travelled to France while learning about teaching larger groups of children.

In 1831 in Dublin, Catherine founded the Mercy Sisters. She promised she would devote herself to God and to end world poverty. In 1827 Catherine McAuley became a nun and in 1831 she and two companions took their vows.
Catherine McAuley died at 63 in 11 November 1841.

 ( died of tuberculosis )
